Privacy policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Who we are

Martial Go ("we", "us", "our") operates the martial arts club management platform available at martialgo.com and portal.martialgo.com. We are the data controller for personal data processed through our services. Contact: info@martialgo.com

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: When you register, we collect your name and email address.
  • Club and member data: If you manage a club on Martial Go, you may enter information about your members (names, contact details, grading records, attendance). You are the data controller for this information; we process it on your behalf as a data processor.
  • Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment card numbers. Stripe may collect billing name, email, and payment instrument details. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymised data about how the platform is used (page views, feature usage) to improve our service.

3. Legal basis for processing

  • Contract: processing your account data and providing the service.
  • Legitimate interest: improving the platform and ensuring security.
  • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable law.
  • Consent: where explicitly requested.

4. How we use your data

  • To provide, maintain and improve the Martial Go platform.
  • To process payments through Stripe.
  • To send service-related communications (receipts, alerts, updates).
  • To respond to your enquiries.

5. Data sharing

  • We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
  • Stripe — for payment processing.
  • Infrastructure providers — hosting and cloud services, bound by data processing agreements.
  • Legal authorities — when required by applicable law.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is retained for the period required by applicable law — generally up to five years for financial records under Spanish law.

7. Your rights

  • Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
  • Access your personal data.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@martialgo.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) at aepd.es, or your local supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the platform to function, and anonymised analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and strict access controls.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance.
